Country Wedding on the West Coast!

Hi Friends,

It sure has been a while since I’ve posted anything on here (I feel like I say that way too much). I wanted to share with you guys some of the décor and flowers from a wedding I had the pleasure of being a part of. My little cousin (and I say little because I was her Sunday school teacher way back in the day) got married a couple months ago. Since I haven’t done many weddings, I was very excited when she asked me to do her wedding flowers. And the fact that I got to go back to Oregon and see my family and old friends was just an added bonus.

Here in the Midwest we do a lot of country style, low-key kind of weddings, but it’s a rare thing on the West Coast. It was, hands down, the most relaxed wedding I’ve ever been to. The venue was a beautiful red barn and they provided ceremony and reception seating and tables, as well as tablecloths and the food. My cousin had most of the small décor made and I was there to help with the centerpieces, arrange all the décor, and make the bouquets (my favorite part).

And now, the beautiful pictures. Isn’t it sweet of my cousin to give me access to all these nice professional photos? All photos are by Pro Art Foto, her professional wedding photographer.

Hope you guys loved the pictures. It’s so great to be able to share my first wedding on here, even though all I did was the flowers. I have to be honest, I was very skeptical about using sunflowers and baby’s breath together, but we totally pulled it off with a bit of eucalyptus and fillers. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

❤ Julie
