Woven Wall Hangings are super popular right now, so naturally I wanted one. I just didn’t really feel like splurging on it, because it’s not something I necessarily need. And then I saw the cutest DIY version that Molly from almostmakesperfect.com shared, and I knew I had to make it. It didn’t event require any fancy weaving or anything, just tying some yarn onto a wood dowel. I had in on my list of things I want to make, so when I had some extra time last Saturday (perks of extra long weekends) I decided to try it.
I’m not going to do a step-by-step tutorial for you guys, because I pretty much just copied Molly’s version. I just used different yarn (picked up a cute one at Hobby Lobby) and trimmed it to a different shape at the end. You can find Molly’s tutorial here. Also while it’s not hard, be prepared to spend some time on this. I’m pretty sure I got some sort of an arm workout out of this (don’t ask me how).
I hung mine in our TV room, and it really makes the room a little more pulled together. I seriously have nothing on the walls there.
Hope you guys like this DIY. Let me know in the comments.
