I can’t believe I had completely deserted my blog for almost 2 months now. And now that I realized how long it’s been, the guilt has officially set in. In other words, you may be seeing a few more posts before the end of this month. Now, on to what this post is really about.
Last weekend, we celebrated my cute little niece Ellie’s 2nd birthday and I’ve got all the party details to share. And if you’re curious what her first birthday party looked like, check it our here. While we didn’t have the same theme, we had a very similar color palette as last year. Pink, white, and gold.
We didn’t particularly have a theme in mind, but since Ellie’s room is pink and gold and my sister found the cutest little dress for her that is also pink and gold, that ended up being our theme. And since Ellie is a total princess (or princesses as she likes to say), I decided to call it the little princess party.
After you have a set color palette in mind, everything just seems to come together. So read on for all the little details.
A dessert table is always the most decorated part of a birthday party, so let’s start with that.
We also created a simple little drink station. I couldn’t resist that marquee style E when I saw it in the store.
We used a lot of pieces from Ellie’s room to create the gift station. So it was pretty simple to do. Also the fact that everyone brought great looking (and matching) presents was just an added bonus.
And because she’s so cute, here are a couple shots we managed to get of the birthday girl.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures, let me know in the comments below, I love getting your feedback!
