I’m sorry I haven’t been posting my weekly fitness tips. But I’ve got one for this week, and this one is a little bit different. This post focuses on weight-loss rather than my usual workout related tips.
Don’t fall for the latest weight-loss fads!
I often come across a new diet, tea, juice, or even a workout program that is supposed to help you lose weight. I click on the link, and there’s a kit you can buy for about $100 that you use for a week or 2. And then what? All of these kits and programs just sound too good to be true, and they usually are. There’s no way you’re going to lose 10lbs just by drinking a tea or juice. Weight loss takes hard work and time, and there’s just no other way around it. You may be able to lose some weight with a new diet, but if you don’t change your habits your weight will just bounce back.
There is one thing that will always be true about weight-loss, the fact that you can’t lose weight by doing just one thing. You find a healthy balance between diet and exercise, find out what works for your body (because everyone is different), and continue growing in your progress.
So don’t worry about the latest trends and just focus on your body and keeping that healthy lifestyle. It isn’t going to happen overnight, but you will get there one day.
